Friends' Discovery Camp: The Great Indoors!
All the fun of CDM’s Friends' Discovery Camp, designed to be inclusive for children with disabilities and their peers, plus exploration of The Great Indoors exhibit! Campers will have fun exploring mountain climbing and camping while they investigate interesting insects and animals in the Museum's temporary exhibit gallery. Campers will also explore other CDM exhibits, go on field trips and spend time with Big Buddies from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
FDC: The Great Indoors takes place June 7-11 and is designed specifically for rising 1st and 2nd graders. FDC camps include a CDM membership.

Friends' Discovery Camp: It's Not Magic. It's Science!
Join us as we explore all things science in this Friends’ Discovery Camp, designed to be inclusive for children with disabilities and their peers. Campers will become scientists as they explore their five senses to investigate the world around them with the help of their Big Buddies from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. This Friends’ Discovery Camp includes many fun field trips and museum experiences.
FDC: It's Not Magic. It's Science! takes place June 14-18 and is designed for rising 3rd through 5th graders. Registration for this camp includes a CDM membership.

Friends' Discovery Camp at Scenic City Equestrian
All of the fun of our Friends' Discovery Camp , designed to be inclusive for children with disabilities and their peers, coupled with Scenic City Equestrian! During FDC at Scenic City Equestrian , campers will experience daily riding instruction, equestrian care and all the other benefits of the museum’s inclusive camps like building a relationship with their Big Buddies from the Univeristy of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
FDC at Scenic City Equestrian is July 26-30. Campers will be on site at Scenic City Equestrian located in Ringgold, GA, about eight miles from downtown Chattanooga. This camp is specifically designed for children 13 and older and includes a CDM membership.

Preschool Camp: Camping Out!
With the help of our upstairs exhibit, The Great Indoors, campers will explore outdoor skills like knot tying and hiking safety through imaginative play. We will build pretend campfires, go on a bear hunt in the Museum and make our own trail mixes for snack. Preschool-aged children will enjoy doing fun activities that help them investigate the idea of camping.
Camping Out! takes place June 21-25 and is designed for children ages 4-5.

Preschool Camp: Space Explorers Academy
Campers become space rangers during this exciting week as they explore other galaxies! search of new parts of the galaxy. Campers will create their own mission control stations, draw plans for their rocket and search for new parts of the galaxy. They’ll build their rockets with cardboard and experiment with rocket flight while playing and making new friends in their “flight crew”.
Space Explorers Academy takes place June 28-July 2 and is designed for children ages 4-5.

Unusual Food from Unusual Places Cooking Camp
If your child loves to make and eat culinary treats, this camp is for them! Join us on a culinary adventure as we let our cooking imaginations run wild during Unusual Food from Unusual Places Cooking Camp. We’ll work together to recreate favorite literary and pop culture cuisines. We’ll have tea parties in Wonderland, decide what exactly goes on a “Krabby Patty”, mix our own Butterbeer and more while using unconventional methods like cooking over a campfire and baking in microwaves. Campers will also create a cookbook to take home with them so families can cook and taste the foods together!

Can't make it to CDM by 3:30 p.m.? No problem! For $50, your camper can spend up to two hours in the Museum under the supervision of staff after camp all week. Campers must be picked up by 5:30 p.m. Aftercare is not available for all camps.
